Doesn’t your canine deserve Sunshyne?

Of course they do! Check out our information and see for yourself.

Doggone its fun here!

  • Grooming

Booking a ‘spa day’ for your pup means they will spend one on one time with the same person- start to finish. We book only a small number of dogs each day so there isn’t a rush to get the next one completed and out the door. We do our best to keep the grooming process as low stress as possible.

  • Sleepovers

AKA boarding or kenneling. :-) Your pup can have a room, a crate, or an outdoor pen (depending on your request and availability) and spend time playing, making new friends* and getting belly rubs while you are away. *being allowed to socialize is at your discretion and depends on your pups demeanor towards other dogs.

  • Training

Training can happen while your dog is staying with us at Sunshyne Kennel or during an appointment with you, your pup and a trainer. Do keep in mind that either way requires a commitment from you if you want your pup to retain what they’ve learned. We do not currently take any aggressive dogs for training.

  • Breeding

We only breed German Shepherd Dogs. Our breeding program is very small with plans for maybe a few litters per year. Our mama dogs are family. They live with us and stay even after they are no longer whelping pups. Check out our blog for info on our past, present & future pups.

Meet Our Family Dogs

  • Lilo

Lilo is our four year old. She won’t come to greet you until she’s found something to bring to show you. She makes us laugh when she puts her ears back and she loves nothing more than a good cuddle and an ear rub. <3

  • Kenai

He may look scary but he would rather be piled up in your lap than anywhere else! Kenai is daddy to our first ever little of pups and he loved being a dad (once Lilo would let him close to the babies). Kenai is living his best life patrolling the yard and trying to carry sticks that are a LOT bigger than him!

  • Kylo

Our sweet boy Kylo is the son of Lilo and Kenai. He was the chonkiest, sweetest lil’ pup and we just couldn’t bear to part with him. Kylo has no idea he weighs almost 100 lbs and insists that he can, in fact, still fit in your lap! He spends most of his time patrolling the yard with his dad- but he would rather dig Kylo-sized holes than carry around sticks.

  • Lottie

Lottie (call name: Always Wishin’ on a Star) is an Agouti coat German Shepherd Dog. She is STAR Puppy Certified and currently working towards being CGC Certified. (These programs can be found under AKC.org) As long as she passes her hip & elbow checks she will be a part of our breeding program once she turns two years old.

  • Sunni

Our Sunni (lovingly known as Sunni-Bunni because of her love of jumping) is the baby of the family. She is also, genetically, a Pie-Bald German Shepherd Dog. She is silly and spunky and if she passes her hip and elbow checks she will be a part of our breeding program once she turns two years old.

  • Koda

While Koda does not belong to us, he does currently live with us so he deserves a spot, too! Koda is Kenai’s big brother (half) and Kylo’s uncle. He is a retired service dog and forever good boy (though he does have a penchant for eating socks!). Koda is also very talkative.
